Progressive Bible Study

Bible study is more than a literal reading of the text. Dive into the context of scripture through history, literature, sociology, and more! Challenge yourself and ask all the questions you always wanted to ask in this study.
The Q

The Q—as in the big questions we have around faith, religion, and life. Join this one-hour conversation time with snacks and comfy home-style welcome at our campus house. Conversation topics are chosen by students and can be co-led with the Chaplain.

Community House Dinners

65 years of tradition strong! Join us for a free meal and community-building conversation. Students choose the meals, prep and cook them together, learning new kitchen skills and authentic recipes from home. Then we eat together as a community, building on topics that strengthen our sense of home and belonging. All are welcome, celebrated, and safe!

Rev. Julie Kelly is the Lutheran Chaplain at Hendricks Chapel, Syracuse University. An ordained minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), she brings over 30 years of experience working with military families, specializing in Family Readiness Groups, Suicidality Prevention, and Family Advocacy. Rev. Kelly is passionate about interfaith relationships and advocacy for marginalized communities. She has served as a chaplain at Los Angeles County Hospital, USC, and with Red Cross Disaster Spiritual Care, along with various Lutheran and Episcopal congregations. She holds a Bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership from Fort Hays State University and an M.Div. from Luther Seminary.
