Religious and Spiritual Life

For the most up-to-date COVID-19 regulations, please visit the University’s Stay Safe website before visiting Hendricks Chapel.

Hendricks Chapel serves as the spiritual center for University life and is a home for all faiths and a place for all people.

It is a place for the full expression of each faith represented within it, including sacred prayer, the observance of worship and the celebration of holy days. It is also a place for people needing a moment of quiet, a word of counsel, a place of study, a focal point for gathering and a safe place to share one’s ideas and one’s vulnerability with others.

Hendricks Chapel provides a diverse array of opportunities for people of all faiths and no faith to engage issues of spirituality, religion, and moral and ethical leadership. Students, staff and faculty are invited to explore their spirituality through our chaplaincies, religious groups, religious services, and sponsored events and activities.

All aspects of Religious & Spiritual Life at Syracuse University follow an ethical framework to operate in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Hendricks Chapel.
