Hendricks Chapel Quilters is a group of students, staff and faculty, as well as community members, that creates and donates quilts to local community organizations, especially those that provide services to children and families.
The group welcomes all people regardless of sewing experience or skill.* Meetings are held in the Noble Room of Hendricks Chapel on Monday evenings (during the academic year) from 5:30-7:30 P.M.
Most recently items made by the Hendricks Chapel Quilters have been donated to:
-
- Sleep in Heavenly Peace
- Upstate Medical Center’s Chaplains
- The Refuge Center at Interfaith Works
- The Quilts of Valor program at the Syracuse Veterans Hospital
- Even the fabric scraps from our many projects are sewn into beds for pets and donated to Paws Across Oswego County, an animal shelter
